Preparing for the 2020 Workforce
Attract, Attain, Train, and Retain talent is a huge challenge for most organizations. This is especially true of the service industry that relies on attracting, attaining, and retaining the knowledge worker.
Currently, we have four generations in the workplace. Each generation has different values and looks to the organization to reconcile their life-work balance goals. This creates a great deal of complexity for organizational policies and procedures, not to mention the conundrum for the manager who has four generations as a part of their department, crew or team.
It is just a matter of time until we will have five generations in the workplace.
In this presentation, John Fish, will attempt to explore some of the issues and challenges that many of you will have to address as your career advances into the different levels of management. In some cases, it may be a challenge to work with a team member that is separated by two or more generations.
